The majority of our ongoing production programs first arrived as research and development opportunities. Carbon by Design’s ability to assess, design and build composite structures is coupled with proprietary curing equipment and manufacturing techniques. Our materials laboratory has pioneered the development of co-cured materials with dissimilar properties which were once believed to be incompatible.

This unique approach is reinforced by our ability to rapidly design, manufacture and test tooling in house without long lead times. This has proven to be incredibly beneficial to our customers with short lead time requirements. Our engineering team regularly receives samples of composite structures for evaluation that we are then able to improve, optimize and often reduce the per unit cost to the end customer.

In addition to our in-house services carbon by design regularly sends personnel into the field to support customers whom wish an on-site evaluation of their programs. Our field engineers have saved our customers millions in scrappage and inefficient manufacturing procedures.
