AEROSPACE AUTOMOTIVE MACHINING ENGINEERING CAPABILTIES FEATURES SUPPORT

UAV Floors & Primary Structures:

When stiffness, weight, and RF transparency are of a primary concern, nothing tops S2 glass and infusion for the manufacturing of primary and secondary aircraft structures. The above pictured UAV floor was constructed with S2 glass & PVC foam. After infusion, the panel was CNC routed to ensure feature accuracy.

Closed Boxes and Three Sided Boxes:

High tolerance - low draft box structures have always been a challenge in composites. Conventional approaches to these problems include multipiece tooling and RTM b side tools. Our CNC created tooling and silicone pressure bladders assure a precision wall thickness and epoxy content for the life of the production run.

High Pressure Tooling for UAV Wings:

The challenge of UAV wings has always been the demands in complexity, miniaturization, and aerodynamic loads, while maintaining a perfect finish tolerance. By designing all of the component pieces in a 3D environment we are able to test, assemble and check for potential interference long before any investment in tooling has been made. These UAV wings were bladder molded in these CNC aluminum cut tools, which regularly see service temperatures of 300F+.

High Pressure Tooling for Structural Beams:

When the requirements are to sustain a load of 500 lbs and the part can only weigh 10 oz, there is nothing more appropriate than high pressure bladder tooling. This digitally designed tool created a part which has a cross-sectional thickness of .060" and easily supports 500 lbs. These components were manufactured using biax braided carbon fiber socks and large tow 100k filaments.
