Carbon by Design's new Automotive & Aerospace Facility located in Oceanside, CA.
Side by side finishing and paint booths occupy the main facility at Carbon by Design. The 1500sq ft finishing booth prevents cross contamination of materials. Paint booth (LH) is specifically designed to spray products, not vehicles and has a HEPA filtered intake system.
Our experience has taught us the best built equipment is the equipment built in house. Our PLC; controlled manufacturing equipment was built by Carbon by Design for Carbon by Design. We use Eurotherm PLC controllers throughout our facility to unify our manufacturing environment. All of the controllers in our facility are linked to a common program database and each has the ability to data log multiple points. Several of our controllers are capable of data logging up to 24 channels of information simultaneously. All curing equipment is monitored and calibrated on a regular basis.
Carbon by Design’s occupies two research and development facilities located in Oceanside, California just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. These combined 25,000 square foot facilities provide a home to the administrative offices and the majority of the development staff.
The facility was purpose built to suit to the needs of composite manufacturing and features physically separated work areas which keep dirty operations separated from clean operations requiring a sterile environment. The aerospace lab is again sub divided by customer specific work cells to keep our customers intellectually property private.
