Lucra LC470

BRAKING SYSTEM
Low unsprung wheel weight
Lightweight vented brake discs
Aluminum Australian made PBR vented calipers
Optional Carbon-Kevlar brake pads
Stainless steel seamless A/N lines used throughout
Dual master cylinders. Independent front and rear hydraulic circuits
Tilton fully adjustable non-slip steel brake pedal
3/8”-24 balance bar allows front/rear brake bias adjustments

Fast cars need to slow and stop quickly and in a controlled manner.
The LC470 braking system provides best braking performance in all circumstances, bringing the car to rest from 60 mph in around 96 feet on a good dry surface.

The lightweight brake discs were selected to minimize rotating inertia and unsprung wheel weight. Inertia and weight are the two most important factors which affect handling and overall performance.
Every pound lost from a part rotating at wheel RPM reduces the effective weight of the car by around 3 pounds.
Low unsprung wheel weight improves handling and traction while maintaining a comfortable ride.
STEERING
Two full turns from lock to lock
Telescopic column for precise adjustment
Woodward quick-release hub
A/N power steering lines
Setrab power steering fluid cooler
Aluminum power steering reservoir
NASCAR Sprint Cup collapsible steering column and approved U-joints

On the move, a car's handling becomes the key to enjoying the open road or setting fast lap times.
The LC470 steering provides just the right amount of power assistance while maintaining real feel for the road surface and wheel position.

Accurate but not twitchy, it's perfect for a car that is light and powerful which takes bumps, bends and corners in its stride.
The steering system should and does feel like an extension of the driver.
The quick-release lightweight Woodward steering wheel hub assembly features a state-of-the-art spline with a two-inch engaged length. Although only a minimal effort is required for quick release, Woodward hubs are carefully designed to avoid accidental release.
The hub is drilled and tapped with three sets of standard US bolt holes. Besides removing weight, the extra holes allow precise calibration of the steering wheel center position when the hub is mated to the 20-spline shaft.
Woodward quick releases meet SFI specification 42.1.
Aluminum steering parts are red anodized and exposed steel gold zinc plated.
FRONT SUSPENSION
Unequal length double A-arm
Fully independent
Rigid, lightweight, forged aluminum upper and lower control arms
Race-proven suspension components
Fully adjustable front castor and camber
Fully adjustable rear camber and toe
Zero bump steer, zero tire scrub
Ideal suspension geometry
Aluminum Pro-Shocks
Composite Spring
Soft suspension, 10-inch 180lb light weight barrel springs with 5" travel

The LC470’s extremely low center of gravity and excellent suspension geometry allow for a comfortable ride whilst handling cornering side loads of up to 1.3G.
Zero bump steer and zero tire scrub makes the car very stable through high speed corners even on bad road surfaces.

Front suspension uses a long, lower A-arm and a short upper A-arm to create suspension geometry that imposes a degree of negative camber as the suspension compresses. The resultant change in camber angle maintains the tire’s contact with the road despite body roll.
" Barrel " design to resolve any spring bowing problems
Each shock absorber comes with a serial-numbered dyno graph.
REAR SUSPENSION
Independent rear suspension offers a smooth ride, better traction, and precise handling over rough pavement.
Properly tuned rear suspension coupled with a differential mounted on
the chassis and low unsprung wheel weight, allows each tire to better
follow a rough road surface.

When the tires follow the road better, the traction, braking, and handling improve.
